Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez.

Even though the singer opted to stay quiet about their budding romance, she recently admitted on the “Ellen Show” that she made the first move. During her interview, Lopez shared that she and Rodriguez have known each other for years. But one afternoon, the “Shades of Blue” star was having lunch somewhere when she saw Rodriguez pass by.

What Lopez did next was definitely the start of something beautiful for the couple. “Afterward, I went outside. For some reason, I just felt like tapping him on the shoulder and saying hi,” she said.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres also asked Lopez whether or not she slept over at Rodriguez’s home on their first date. The “On The Floor” singer quickly responded, “no.” “No! Mama don’t sleepover on the first date!” she said.

The hilarious host continued by asking Lopez whether or not she and Rodriguez are already talking about taking their relationship to the next level. After all, the couple was recently spotted vacationing with their kids on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, Lopez said she and Rodriguez are just enjoying their time together at the moment. Lopez has two children, twins Max and Emme, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha and Ella, from his marriage to ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

Last month, the former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman sat down for an interview with “The View” where he also gushed over his relationship. “We’re having a great time, she’s an amazing, amazing girl, and one of the smartest human beings I’ve ever met and also an incredible mother,” he said.

Rodriguez also added that Lopez used to be an amazing athlete because she was a member of her school’s track team.
