Jennifer Lopez sported a short new hairstyle at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday. The “American Idol” judge, who usually rocks her signature long locks, debuted a chic summer bob at the airport before she was confetti-bombed by prankster clown Richie the Barber. He is known for his wild behavior and was seen covered head-to-toe in tattoos at the airport, according to Us Weekly.

The “Boy Next Door” actress’s hair was not a bob, more like a sort of lob. The new crop showed lots of layers, creating a feathered effect around her face. Lopez looked ultra-glam in a midriff-baring cropped sweater and blue low-rise jeans. The cropped top featured long sleeves and turtle neck and showed off her toned abs. She carried a huge blue leather tote bag and accessorized her look with lots of rings. The star had her eyes covered with oversized sunglasses but got showered with rainbow-colored confetti over her head. But, it seemed that Lopez was neither thrilled nor fazed with the act of the clown.

Lopez got off easily as compared to other stars who have been accosted by bystanders recently. Adam Levine was sugar-bombed outside Jimmy Kimmel’s studio in Hollywood earlier this month. Kim Kardashian’s book signing was interrupted by anti-fur activists who screamed that she was a “murderer.”

The clown shared pictures on his Instagram. In one picture he is seen waiting to catch his flight. “I got my Finland money ready to go im waiting for my flight,” he captioned the picture. He then shared another picture that showed Lopez being confetti-bombed by him.

Richie was also responsible for confetti-bombing Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian in April 2014 in West Hollywood, California. The reality stars were sent into a standing fetal position to protect themselves from the flying bits of colored paper as they made their way out of a store. Following the incident, the two sisters filed a battery report. Richie told TMZ he was simply trying to “congratulate them on their success.”
