"Jeopardy" Host Alex Trebek Robbed and Injured in Burglar Chase

Alex Trebek, the "Jeopardy" host, was robbed in his San Francisco hotel room. Trebek chased the lady burglar until his Achilles tendon ruptured and his legs became bruised.

The "Jeopardy" host arrived on crutches Wednesday when he was hosting the National Geographic World Championship. He explained his situation to the public on stage.

On the early Tuesday, Trebek was robbed by a lady burglar, who broke into his room and swiped cash and a bracelet, which belonged to Trebek’s mom.

Trebek chased the lady burglar, however, his Achilles tendon ruptured in the process causing him to fall in a heap and bruised a leg. Trebek said he’s ok and awaits surgery on Friday.

The lady theif named Lucinda Moyers, 56, was arrested by police. She has been charged with burglary and possession of stolen goods.
