Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks hosted the Los Angeles Lakers at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

Coming off of a three game win streak, the Knicks and their much-hyped point guard faced their biggest challenge since losing Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony to injury, but not even the Lakers and Kobe Bryant could end New York's amazing run.

And of course, coverage of the game surrounded Lin, the Knick's Harvard educated point man. For the third straight game (as well as for his first three starts in the NBA), Lin scored a career high. On Friday, Lin, guarded by a uncharacteristically befuddled Derek Fisher, lit up the Lakers for 38 points, a high for any Knick this season.

The hype -- or Linsanity -- around this young star was justified on Friday. And Lin seems to be enjoying it all -- the attention, the points, and most importantly, being able to play basketball.
