Snooki
The 'Jersey Shore' star had a car crash in Italy while the show was filming it's forth season in May of 2011. Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) struck an Italian police car while driving with her friend J-Woww (Jenni Farley) and had to dramatically exit the car through a window. The crash sent two officers to the hospital after they sustained minor injuries and Snooki was taken in for custody, though not officially charged. There were no drugs nor alcohol involved, but there were still hysterics in a televised scene of the incident on 'Jersey Shore.' Reuters

If reality TV stars Nicole Snooki Polizzi and Jenni JWoww Farley thought they were always welcome at the Jersey Shore, they might be wrong. At least when it comes to Jersey Shore, Penn. that is.

According to the Associated Press, The Central Pennsylvania Film Office invited the guidettes to film their own spinoff of the wildly popular series. The company was considering the borough of the original series' same name as a possible shooting location, but the Lycoming, County town was not interested.

While we appreciate all the attention given to the Jersey Shore borough, we do not feel that the values portrayed on the television show are reflective of the values held by the people in our community, Borough Council Vice President Marguerite Dyroff said in a written statement.

Therefore the Borough of Jersey Shore is not interested in pursuing any kind of filming opportunity with the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore.

This isn't the 'Shore' stars' first encounter with rejection. This week Hoboken N.J. Mayor Dawn Zimmer and the Hoboken Film Commission unanimously denied a request to film the spinoff.

However, Central Pennsylvania Film Office Commissioner Lorena Beniquez seemed to feel differently.

From what we've heard in their press, it sounds like it could be a good fit for our region, Beniquez said to AP when discussing filming the show in Lycoming Co.
