Jinger Duggar’s courtship of three weeks with Jeremy Vuolo had Jessa Seewald (not pictured) slightly concerned on Tuesday’s “Counting On.” TLC

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo had an emotional goodbye on last week’s “Counting On,” but their separation didn’t last very long. With the help of Jinger’s sister Jessa Seewald and her husband Ben, the pastor surprised his girlfriend with a trip to Arkansas on Tuesday’s Season 2 installment of the TLC series.

Two days after Jinger and her parents left Laredo, Texas, Jeremy was shown flying into the Duggar home state in episode 5, “A Big Surprise.” And while Jessa was visibly excited about Jeremy’s arrival for the sake of her sister, she admitted to the cameras their courtship of three weeks might be going too fast for her liking.

“Jeremy and Ben are really good friends. Ben would say one of his best friends. Now Jeremy’s getting to know my sister. It’s kinda crazy. It feels kinda too fast sometimes for me,” Jessa said.

Jessa isn’t the only one to share that sentiment. In episode 4, Jim Bob Duggar commented he would have to “pray” about the timing of his daughter’s relationship with Jeremy. Earlier in the installment, he questioned if Jeremy could afford to be married living on a “modest“ pastor’s salary and if he would ever consider moving to Arkansas. (Jinger has shared to plans to relocate after marriage.)

Despite their resistance about the speediness of Jinger’s courtship, both parties helped Jeremy in episode 5. Jessa arranged a special way to surprise Jinger with Jeremy’s arrival at a restaurant and Jim Bob assisted Jeremy in looking at engagement rings.

Of course, Jinger and Jeremy are already engaged to be married off-screen. The couple has not announced their wedding date, but recent updates reveal they’re in the middle of planning.
