Police in Kansas City have released the name of the 25-year-old woman who became known as the Royals Fountain Lady or Royals Fountain Mom for taking an ill-advised dip in the fountains at Kauffman Stadium.

Jessica McCoy, from Des Moines, Iowa, was arrested and charged with trespassing, resisting arrest and solicitation of a police officer after allegedly offering to perform a sex act on an officer, the Kansas City Star reports. McCoy had jumped into the fountains at Kauffman Stadium during Monday night’s baseball game between the Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins.

“We believe she was a little intoxicated when she decided to go for a walk in the fountain pool,” Kansas City police major Floyd Mitchell told the Kansas City Star. Authorities released McCoy’s mug shot on Tuesday but did not identify her by name until Wednesday morning. As a result, several sports blogs, including Deadspin, began to refer to McCoy as the Royals Fountain Lady or Royals Fountain Mom.

McCoy’s splash in the stadium fountains went viral after Deadspin posted videos and photos of her antics. In the video, McCoy, wearing a Kansas City Royals T-shirt, dark sunglasses and a distinctive necklace, could be seen frolicking through the fountains until stadium security arrived on the scene and arrested her.

Video footage also revealed that the Fountain Mom had not been entirely cooperative with police, as she attempted to flee from police and managed to briefly free herself before her arrest.

Although McCoy’s real name was not released until Wednesday, Fox4 producer Rob Zerwekh revealed on Tuesday that the network had captured footage of the Fountain Lady before her stunt. Zerwekh posted a series of screenshots to Twitter showing a woman wearing an outfit identical to the one McCoy wore during the stunt.
