Following the pregnancy rumor circulating for several months, Jessica Simpson, 31, finally confirmed it on Oct. 31 - she revealed to Lucky magazine that she is happy and confident for gaining weight.

Simpson made an official announcement on her website, saying It's true, I am going to be a mummy.

The experts believe Simpson has been pregnant about six months. A Boston-based gynecologist said she is going into her third trimester.

Dave David, a doctor, told RadarOnline that She looks to be 26 weeks, which is around six months.

It is definitely a pregnancy and not weight gain. You can by the shape of her abdomen, her belly wouldn't be that rounded if it was just fat.

And now the singer is enjoying her life. I got so much scrutiny for putting on extra pounds, but I think that the decision not to make myself anorexic was actually great for branding, she told Lucky.

Because when you’re really, really skinny, not everybody can relate to you. Everybody fluctuates, but I’m open about my weight and I’m still confident. I didn’t cry about it too much, she added.

However, the star has yet to plan for wedding with her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, according to the interview.

“I haven’t started shopping for our wedding yet,” she told Lucky. “When I got engaged, everyone thought I would get married immediately, but I have not put a single dress on, and by the time this comes out I will not be married!”

According to the singer, the couple are enjoying their engagement. “We’re just enjoying being engaged right now - and that’s honest,” she said.

But she said she wasn't expecting anything from Johnson, when they first met.

When I met him I just felt so comfortable with myself and where I was in my life that if he didn’t want to be part of it, he didn’t have to be, she said.
