Baby cries may soon be followed by wedding bells for singer and reality TV “Fashion Star” mentor Jessica Simpson, who is reportedly planning to marry fiancé Eric Johnson mere months after giving birth to her second child later this summer.

The 32-year-old star, who reportedly had to cancel two previous wedding dates due to her pregnancy with now-13-month-old Maxwell and now her current pregnancy, reportedly told friends recently that nuptials are imminent. According to a report from Us Weekly, Simpson told friends at her April baby shower that she is planning to walk down the aisle with her 33-year-old beau soon after giving birth.

"[She] was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born," the source said. “Jessica said, 'Let’s have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one.'"

The star is reportedly concerned about her figure after scheduling her wedding day so soon after her July due date, reportedly hiring a special chef in combination with her WeightWatchers diet to shed unwanted pounds. The singer previously joined the weight loss group in June 2012 after gaining 70 lbs. following the birth of her first child.

“The chef is there all day,” the source said. “It’s healthier.”

Simpson was last spotted with Johnson and their daughter getting lunch in Calabasas, Calif., wearing tight black leggings and showing off her ever-growing baby bump.

The singer confirmed her second pregnancy on her Twitter account on Christmas Day. The message included a picture of the couple’s daughter laying in the sand next to the words “Big Sis.”

Simpson was previously married to 98 Degrees singer Nicholas Lachey. Her former husband and “Newlyweds” co-star recently revealed that the two of them haven't spoken to each other in six years since their split in 2005. According to Us Weekly, the upcoming nuptials will also be the second walk down the aisle for Johnson.
