Jessica Simpson has reportedly threatened to fire her parents for pushing her to check into rehab. Reports have surfaced that the 35-year-old singer and fashion designer has been allegedly abusing drugs and alcohol.

While Simpson is known for her bubbly and offbeat personality, she had fans -- and apparently her family -- worried since she appeared to be intoxicated during a live HSN broadcast last month.

According to Life & Style, the "Where Are You" singer's mom, Tina Simpson, and dad, Joe Simpson, fear she has a "problem" and will "crash and burn." Tina and Joe have reportedly urged their daughter to seek help for her substance issues, but the suggestion left Jessica furious.

"She told Joe and Tina that they can shut up or get off her payroll,” a source told Life & Style. “She’s pissed that they made such a big deal about her HSN appearance, and now they’re barely speaking.”

As previously reported, HSN came to Jessica's defense, telling People in a statement at the time that they enjoyed working with the shoe designer.

"It was fun to have Jessica make her HSN debut with her mother," the network said. "We are happy to host them and thrilled with the way customers responded to the collection."

It's also been rumored that Jessica's husband, former NFL star Eric Johnson, is concerned about her supposed drug and alcohol problems. RadarOnline reported in September that Johnson threatened to take their two young children away if Jessica didn't go to rehab.

“He is worried sick that Jess’ conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there’s something wrong with Mommy," the site reported.
