ShopTrue extends a 2008 partnership between JBLU and Points International Ltd., which saw the launch of the Buy TrueBlue Points service that utilizes the Company’s cutting-edge miles and points purchase platform by allowing users to buy points themselves or give them to another member.
ShopTrue allows flyers to earn points by shopping at any of over 800 participating retail partners, including the Apple Store, Dell, eBay, K-Mart and Nordstrom.
Director of Loyalty and Partnerships at JBLU, Dave Canty, hailed the significantly increased flexibility and options of ShopTrue for earning TrueBlue points as a forward market position.
Canty also pointed out the remarkable way that customers can now make everyday purchases on electronics or clothes and earn valuable points towards their travel goals with the click of a button.
An unprecedented level of simplicity and ease-of-use for customers of the rewards program is the result of all the effort by both companies to take this partnership to new heights, and brings hitherto unseen incentives for customers to participate.
Points.com joins other distinguished partners who have signed on since TrueBlue’s November 2009 redesign, including American Express, Energy Plus, Hertz and Hilton Worldwide.

The TrueBlue program is designed to suit the individual demands of customers; every seat on every flight is available for travel with no blackout dates, thus allowing members to redeem rewards at their disposal. This delivers a highly transparent and fluid program that is user-centric, more flexible and more rewarding, allowing members to earn flights starting at only 5k points – points which do not expire so long as the member meets the minimum requirement of one JBLU flight a year.
