A JetBlue flight from New York City to Salt Lake City made an emergency landing in upstate New York on Sunday when the pilot and crew saw smoke in the cockpit of the plane.

The Associated Press reported the passenger jet with 139 people on board landed safely at the Greater Rochester International Airport on Sunday evening after pilots grounded the plane. No injuries were reported.

Monroe County Authorities told News10 NBC they were alerted at 9:45 p.m. Sunday that an 823 Airbus was possibly in trouble, as smoke was reported in the cockpit area.

Currently, it is unclear why the cockpit became filled with smoke.
