At least Jessica Pare of "Mad Men" is able to laugh off her imperfect, gummy smile and overbite. "I rarely think about them, although it's happened before that I get comments and that, of course, makes me self-conscious," she told ABC News. "But I never get anything stuck in my teeth!"

Michael Strahan's gapped front teeth are part of his trademark smile.

Singer Jewel's trademark has long been her not-so-straight smile. Now the singer has fixed her teeth so she can play June Carter Cash in the coming Lifetime movie, Ring of Fire, according to The Inquisitr, an entertainment website.

Jewel, who rose to fame in the 1990s after the release of her album, Pieces Of You, did not take extreme measures to fix her teeth, cosmetic dentist Dr. Veda Faith Afsahi told the Orange County Register.

Before and after pictures of Jewel's fixed teeth can be seen here.

She definitely whitened her teeth and placed a porcelain veneer/crown over the very crooked tooth on the left of the picture, Afsahi told the paper. She then 'cosmetically contoured' (shaped the edges) of the other surrounding teeth. This is a very routine procedure done for those who do not want drastic change, but to upgrade their smile a bit.

Jewel is not the only celebrity known for their imperfect grin. Click through the slideshow to see other examples of stars with bad smiles.
