“Jill & Jessa: Counting On” star Jinger Duggar and former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo are officially courting, and that means going on chaperoned dates. TLC

Jinger Duggar has made public her relationship with athlete Jeremy Vuolo, and she’s ready for some date nights. The star of the TLC reality-TV series “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” was recently spotted on an outing with her new boyfriend.

True to Duggar tradition, Jinger and Jeremy did not go out unchaperoned. A photograph of the courting couple visiting a frozen yogurt shop in Laredo, Texas, Thursday with Jinger’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, has surfaced, but not everybody was happy to come across the photo of their double date night online.

After the Sweet Loring Frozen Yogurt shop shared a snapshot of the couples on social media, followers slammed the establishment for promoting the religious family featured on the now-canceled “19 Kids and Counting” TV show. Raw Story reported one individual called out the retailer for associating with a “bigoted cult,” among other insults. “Not sure I would brag about this family visiting you,” another commenter tweeted. “They are not a family to admire.” Sweet Loring has since apologized for the post and removed the image, which can be viewed here.

The backlash against the family came after years of controversy, most recently centered on the actions of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 28-year-old son, Josh Duggar. Josh exited a faith-based rehabilitation center in March after six months of treatment. Previously, he not only admitted to being unfaithful to his wife but also was revealed to have molested several of his female siblings as a teenager.

While some people may not be happy with the Duggars, the family appears to be in a good place. After being linked to several men, including one member of the equally popular Bates family, Jinger confirmed her courtship with Jeremy this month. The 22-year-old reality-TV personality said she was drawn to Jeremy’s character after a mission trip in May of last year. “It was there that I really saw his heart,” she told People magazine. Jeremy, a 28-year-old pastor and former soccer player with the San Antonio Scorpions, said he was “very excited” to begin his courtship with Jinger.

Jinger played a big role in Season 1 of “Counting On,” but she'll have even more screen time in Season 2 with her new courtship. The series will return to TLC this summer. Meanwhile, fans can check out more photos of Jinger and Jeremy together in the Duggar family photo album.
