JK Rowling has put her yacht up for sale for $19.8 million, $9.2 million less than she paid for it.

The Telegraph reported the Harry Potter creator is selling the 156-foot Amphitrite, which she bought in January for $29 million after chartering it for a family holiday. The Edwardian-style vessel once was owned by actor Johnny Depp.

Rowling, who is believed worth $764 million, spent $6.6 million on refitting the vessel, which was built in Turkey in 2001, with new lighting and wall hangings, the Telegraph said. It can accommodate 10 guests and a crew of nine, and can be chartered for $130,810 a week.

The listing with Curtis Stokes and Associates describes the yacht as a modern vessel with classic styling. Luxury features include a skylight, 10 large windows, crushed velvet seating and double teak and glass doors.

The purchase price includes artworks, two inflatable tenders and equipment for waterskiing, windsurfing and kayaking, the Daily Mail reported.

The yacht has five bedrooms, including a master bedroom on the main deck that has a 180-degree panoramic view and an en-suite bathroom. The three-deck yacht can cruise at 12 knots.

No reason was given for the sale and a Rowling spokesman said there would be no comment.

Rowling became the wealthiest living author through her wildly popular Harry Potter series. Though she has said she won’t write any more novels about the boy wizard, she maintains the Pottermore website and recently released a play, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which also is available in ebook form.

“He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we're done. This is the next generation, you know,” Rowling told Reuters. “So, I'm thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”
