Actor Johnny Depp made an appearance on ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday night and showered the show's host with kisses for complimenting the actor on his looks.

Depp was on the show to promote his new movie, ‘The Lone Ranger,’ when Kimmel said, “You have this very handsome, this – Let's just be honest and say beautiful face.”

Hearing this, Depp approached Kimmel and gave him a kiss on his cheek, and followed it up with two smooches on the lips.

"I've lost my train of thought," Kimmel said, and fanned himself with his hand.

‘The Lone Ranger’ is opening on July 3 to negative reviews from critics, with movie aggregator Rotten Tomatoes giving the flick a mere 25 percent rating. Despite appreciating the chemistry between lead pairs Depp and Armie Hammer, a number of reviews on the site have termed the movie "bland."

In an earlier interview, Depp said he had full faith in the movie adding that the film would prompt the audience to respect and thank Native Americans. Depp, who enacts the role of Tonto in the movie, told MTV News that he has tried to portray Native Americans with the dignity they deserve.

“It was something I felt a pretty intense passion for, for a long time," Depp told MTV News. "Just taking into consideration the way that Native Americans have been portrayed in old-school TV series as sidekicks or savages. I just thought it was a way to flip it completely on its head and an opportunity to send great respect and thanks to the Native Americans for all they've lived through and went through in their existence.”
