Jimmy Fallon soaks Mad Men's Jon Hamm from head to toe on national late night TV.

Jon Hamm made an appearance on Late night with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night to promote Mad Men's fifth season premiering March 25, and was challenged to a water war. Presumably invented by Fallon, the game is a unique take on the classic card game War in which each card won gives the victor an opportunity to throw a glass of water in the losers face. Needless to say both Jon Hamm and Jimmy Fallon were completely soaked within a few minutes.

Hamm and the rest of the Mad Men team have been doing their best to appear cool and collected as they hype the new season of one of AMC's most popular shows, but last night Hamm, who plays the always dignified if mysterious Don Draper, was able to cut loose as Fallon threw glass after glass of water at his face, completely soaking his shirt and tie, which he joked was extra absorbent.

Hamm came back with two straight wins, turning Fallon's white shirt completely see-through. In the end however, Fallon won the majority of five rounds of Water War, and won the chance to completely soak Hamm with a water cannon.

Mad Men, which stars Jon Hamm alongside John Slattery, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss, premieres on March 25 with a two-hour long episode. Creator Matthew Wiener and the rest of the cast have kept quiet on plot details, leaving fans with no idea what to expect.
