Joseph Gordon-Levitt will team up once again with Inception director Christopher Nolan for a role in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises.

It was reported a few weeks ago that Gordon-Levitt will take on a villainous role, and speculation has run wild as to which evil character the actor will star as.

Variety reports that Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone, also known as The Holiday Killer. Alberto Falcone is the son of Gotham city's crime boss, Carmine Falcone.

It was also recently announced that actress Juno Temple is being considered for the role of a street smart Gotham girl, according to Variety. The British actress has played in a number of Indie Films including Kaboom by Greg Araki.

Temple is also acting out the role of Queen Anne in the upcoming The Three Musketeers, alongside Orlando Bloom, Christopher Waltz and Milla Jovovich, which is slated to be released on October 14.

It has already been announced that Academy Award hostess Anne Hathaway has been chosen to take on the role of Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman. Actress Marion Cotillard has also been cast to star in the film.

The Dark Knight Rises is slated to be released in theaters on July 20, 2012.
