Joy Duggar was nervous before marrying Austin Forsyth. TLC

Joy Duggar was just like most other brides and suffered from pre-wedding jitters before her big day. In a new video released by the Duggar family, the “Counting On” star admits to being fearful about “committing” herself to her soon-to-be-husband Austin Forsyth.

In the TLC clip, Joy and Austin take a moment following their wedding rehearsal at Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas to speak about the following day’s events. “We are pretty excited about our wedding day tomorrow. It seemed like it took forever to get here,” Austin says.

“I’m really excited and not really nervous just yet. I think I’m just more excited to be married to my best friend,” Joy adds, saying Austin is more nervous than her.

“I’m sure I’m going to start getting nervous,” she continues. “I’m probably going to be pretty emotional on our wedding day because it’s a lot! I mean, committing yourself to someone for the rest of your life.”

The look inside Joy and Austin’s pre-wedding celebration comes two days after Joy’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, shared an update from the happy couple. “Austin and Joy are loving married life!” the parents wrote on their Facebook fan page Saturday. The family also shared photos from Joy and Austin’s honeymoon.

“Thank you to all for your prayers and encouragement!” Joy and Austin wrote to fans on the post. “We are loving married life and having the opportunity to see these beautiful places together. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives.”

Austin and Joy have not yet revealed the location of their honeymoon. According to one of Joy’s sisters, Jessa Seewald, family was not privy to the locale. “I think the honeymoon is going to be really, really special, just getting to spend that time together. I don’t even know where they’re going, honestly, but I know it’s going to be exciting,” Jessa admitted in a video while congratulating her 19-year-old sister on her wedding.

Joy and Austin wed in front of family and friends in their home state of Arkansas on May 26. The couple has been friends for 15 years before announcing their official courtship in November. In March, they revealed they were engaged.

Post-honeymoon, Joy and Austin already have their living arrangement plans in place. The pair will stay close to home by building a house in Arkansas, the Duggar Family Blog, runs by family friends of the Duggars, revealing last week, “When the couple returns home, they will build a house near both families.”

With a new house could also come another Duggar baby. “It might not be too long before they enter parenthood,” the Duggar Family Blog added.

Joy previously discussed her hope to be a mother. Following her engagement, she told Crown of Beauty Magazine she wanted to become a parent in five years’ time. Following the interview, she announced on Mother’s Day she was anticipating parenthood. “I can’t wait to be a mother myself!” she shared.

Joy and Austin’s wedding will take center stage in the Season 2C premiere of “Counting On.” The series returns to TLC on Monday, June 12, at 9 p.m. EDT.
