Julia Roberts looked stunning in a new video campaign for Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle fragrance. She wears a flowing white dress that dazzles under the lights thanks to the crystals embellished on it.

Her dress is a haute couture gown designed by Alexandre Vauthier. And it dazzles due to hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals by Maison Lesage. The entire gown is studded with more than 700 Swarovski crystals.

The short film opens with the 48-year-old actress sitting at a dinner party clad in a stunning long-sleeved white dress. Roberts has been the brand ambassador of Lancôme since 2010 and also starred in the perfume’s last campaign video in 2012.

“Being in love with Julia Roberts, her look, her career and her appearances, the dress came to me in a flash! We needed something extremely elegant with a dash of sex appeal,” said Vauthier in a statement.

He added that they were in the lookout for creating a couture gown that was chic and dreamy. The French couturier wanted to create “an iconic dress that would best embody Julia Roberts and allow her to really shine.” Meanwhile, her longtime make-up artist Genevieve Herr created the La vie est belle make-up for Lancôme.

Roberts’ make-up compliments her white gown very well. Herr created the perfect make-up for her with Color Design Eyeshadow Palettes and Le Crayon Khol in black ebony and purple dusk eyeliners. Her rosy cheeks were the result of Blush Subtil in rose flush. The “Pretty Women” actresses pink lips was by Color Design in haute nude.

In the video, the mom-of-three shows gets up from the table and magically removes the walls between her intimate party and the big bash happening outside. After that, she removes one more wall to reveal a balcony that looks out into Paris and it’s the lit up Eiffel Tower by night. According to James Gray director of the film, it speaks of the refusal to be confined to the small box and the need to look out to find beauty.

He added that Roberts is “divine and completely genuine” and is same in the city as well as on screen.
