Summer is almost officially here, and though many television shows take a break during the warmer months of the year, summer programming is just getting started. More than 30 shows will begin premiering in June, with a fantastic mix of reality television, suspense, drama and comedy.

The second season of HBO crime series “True Detective” will air on Sunday, June 21. This season will star Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch. Meanwhile, fans of "Hannibal" can look forward to the return of the cannibal in the third season of the NBC series on June 4. Netflix will also reunite viewers with the Litchfield inmates during its third season of "Orange is the New Black," which hits the streaming service on June 12 at 3 a.m. EDT.

Mystery lovers can look forward to the sixth season of popular ABC Family series “Pretty Little Liars,” which will kick off on June 2. New series “Stitchers” will premiere right after. “Stitchers” stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark, a young woman with the ability to “stitch” into the minds of recently deceased victims to investigate their murders, according to Entertainment Weekly.
