Justin Bieber's mother, Patricia Pattie Lynn Mallette, is coming out with a memoir.

Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom will be published by Revell, a division of the Christian publishing house Baker Publishing Group, and is scheduled for a Sept. 18 release.

Mallette, who had Bieber when she was 18 years old, has been open about her troubled early years, which included substance abuse. Her pregnancy with Bieber prompted her to change her life around. She is now a born-again Christian.

Pattie's story is a powerful example of courage and determination that will inspire anyone who has faced struggles in life, Revell editorial director Jennifer Leep said in a statement. She's living proof that even in the darkest of places, there is always room for hope.

The book will include a very personal touch: a foreword written by Bieber.

The singing sensation, who first got noticed on YouTube, has talked about his own faith in the past.

There's a lot going on, there's a lot of bad things, but there's also a lot of good things, he said of Hollywood in a 2010 interview with The Associated Press. I'm able to live my dream, I'm able to do a lot of good things. Basically, I don't even consider religion. Like, I'm a Christian, I believe in God, I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins. I believe that I have a relationship and I'm able to talk to him and really, he's the reason I'm here, so I definitely have to remember that. As soon as I start forgetting, I've got to click back and be like, you know, this is why I'm here.

Mallette's book is scheduled for release the same month as her son's second memoir, Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started.

That book, a photographic one, is being published by HarperCollins and is scheduled for release on Sept. 13.
