Justin Bieber is willing to do anything and everything to prove himself worthy of Selena Gomez.

Even though they are not officially back together, a source told People that Bieber is “set on proving that he is a better boyfriend” to the “Wolves” singer.

Unfortunately, Bieber would have to wait until after the holidays so he could spend time with Gomez again. The source said that it’s impossible for the two to spend Christmas together because Gomez’s family still doesn’t approve of Bieber.

“Justin’s family always loved Selena, but Selena’s family is still not happy about her seeing Justin. Selena doesn’t bring Justin to any family events. Selena is spending Christmas with her family. As of now, Justin is not invited,” the source said.

Bieber and Gomez started hanging out again just weeks before the latter split from The Weeknd. After photographs of Bieber and Gomez went viral online, they decided to keep their relationship “low-key.”

“They just backed off a little from being out there and are being a bit more low-key,” a source told People last month.

Another source said, “Justin and Selena are great. They still spend a lot of time together, but are being low-key about it. They attend church service together, have dinner and just hang out.

The same insider added that even though Bieber and Gomez are not yet back together, the couple is expected to make things official very soon.

After all, Gomez struggled to move on from Bieber after they dated from 2010 to 2015. “Justin was Selena’s first love. He will always have a special place in her heart. She’s always held out hope that one day the circumstances and timing would be right,” the source said.

During a recent interview with Billboard, the 25-year-old admitted that she realized who truly had an impact in her life since the beginning. “I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away,” she said.
