Justin Theroux opted to drop out from his supposed guesting on "Late Show" following his split from Jennifer Aniston.

Theroux, 46, was supposed to appear on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Feb. 20. However, in the roster released on Monday, the name of Aniston's ex was no longer listed, Us Weekly, reported.

It seemed that Aniston's ex-husband wanted to be out of the spotlight for a while after they announced their separation last week. The then-couple released a joint statement admitting that they were no longer together to end the rumors about their split.

"In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," the then-couple said in a statement. "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."

Just days prior to their announcement, Aniston celebrated her 49th birthday with her gal pals Courtney Cox, Andrea Bendewald, Leigh Kilton-Smith and Kristin Hahn. Theroux was noticeably missing at the celebration.

According to one insider, Theroux and Aniston's marriage was okay even if they spent most of the time apart. In fact, it helped them extend the honeymoon stage in their relationship.

"They have figured out a life that works for them," a source told People. "Jennifer's life with Justin is great. By not spending every minute together, it's like their honeymoon is lasting longer."

"This has not hurt their marriage at all, it seems to help," an entertainment source added. "They love and respect each other and do spend a lot of time apart. For them, it is a healthy part of their romance."

But apparently, Theroux and Aniston are no longer together. While some fans are brokenhearted following Aniston and Theroux's split, others are hopeful that the "Cake" actress will get back to her other ex, Brad Pitt. The "War Machine" actor is also single after he and Angelina Jolie parted ways in 2016.

A source told Entertainment Tonight in March 2017 that Pitt and Aniston had "been in touch." The exes reportedly exchanged text messages after the "Allied" star's split from the "Maleficent" actress.

"They are friends," the source told ET. "They have been friendly back and forth."
