A grand slam clash in Italy went in Juventus' favour after two late goals saw them defeat AC Milan 2-0 and grab the lead in the Serie A.

Juventus were on the offensive from the word go, at the new Juventus Stadium, while Milan opted for a defensive approach.

The home side attacked impressively throughout and came close on more than one occasion, while Milan were pegged back and Zlatan Ibrahimovich was guilty of spurning a glorious opportunity early in the second half.

As the game progressed, it looked to be a goalless draw but Claudio Marchisio scored in the 87 minute to earn his team a crucial lead. Milan then went a player down after Kevin-Prince Boateng collected a second yellow. Marchisio grabbed his second goal in injury time to give Juve a deserved win and preserve their unbeaten record at the top of Serie A.

Milan, on the other hand, are on a blip and have picked up only five points from five games so far.
