Kanye West $2.4 Million Armored Cars: Rapper Reportedly Buys Military-Style Vehicles To Protect Kim Kardashian And North

Kanye West is making sure his girlfriend Kim Kardashian and daughter, North West, are as safe as possible, reportedly buying armored cars and employing bodyguards for the pair. This comes just days after President Obama dissed the rapper and reality star, saying they are too materialistic and send the wrong message to the younger generation.

In an interview with Amazon.com, the president recently said, "The American Dream involved some pretty basic stuff: a good job where you felt some security, a good education … There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success."

Now, the 36-year-old is reportedly is spending $2.4 million for two Prombron Iron Diamonds by Dartz Motorz. The Dartz official website says the armored cars have a 300 mm shorter base and 3 doors to avoid kidnapping and hijacking. “Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths. He aims to leave nothing to chance ... His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim's, before he begins his US tour in October,” a source told the Daily Star.

West is also making sure his family has bodyguards at all times, and he reportedly employed two new bodyguards. “If there have been any kidnapping threats already against their daughter, he isn’t saying,” a source said. “But that fear is clearly in his mind. Kanye is also acutely aware that Kim has enemies who are resentful of her reality TV success, and the thought of anything happening to her or Nori, their nickname for North, is his worst nightmare.”
