It has been almost four years since rapper Kanye West jumped on stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to let the world know that she didn’t deserve to win. While the rapper soon after apologized to the now 23-year-old country singer, his words of remorse were apparently not so sincere.

Newly released footage published by Gawker on Thursday seems to confirm West’s televised rant reflected his honest beliefs that Swift’s co-nominee Beyonce deserved to win for best female video winner for her hit “Single Ladies.” West, 36, can be heard on the audio file, which was secretly recorded at a West Village restaurant in New York following his Radio City Music Hall appearance, saying that his hard work in the entertainment industry should have resulted in Beyonce’s win.

“I'm pushing the envelope! I wrote my f--kin' 'Run This Town' verse for a f--kin' month! When I heard Eminem's verse on the Drake shit, I went back and rewrote my shit for two days. I canceled appointments to rewrite! I f--kin' care! You know what I'm saying? And that's what I'm saying. Because I did that, Taylor Swift cannot win over Beyonce! Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyonce. As long as I'm alive! And if I'm alive, kill me then! Kill me then! As long as I'm alive, you gon' have to deal with it. 'Cause there ain't gonna be no more motherf--king Elvises with no James Browns.”

While the “Yeezus” rapper's insults were mostly targeted at Swift, he also attacked fellow guests at the show, including two-time 2009 MTV VMA performer, Pink. “What the f--k was Pink performing? Don't nobody know that song. Pink performed twice! Two songs? How the f--k Pink perform two songs and I didn't even get asked to perform 'Heartless'" said West, who went on to claim that his single was the "biggest song of the year."

Halfway through the two-minute audio clip, an unidentified female can be heard approaching the rapper and asking him, “Why are you so angry?” -- to which West replies that his frustration is a result of his mother Donda West’s death following plastic surgery in 2007. “Because my mother got arrested for the f--kin' sit-ins. My mother died for this fame s--t! I moved to f--kin' Hollywood chasing this shit. My mother died because of this s—t,” he said. “F--k MTV.”

News of West’s rant comes one week after he was captured by TMZ verbally assaulting a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport after the photographer told the rapper he was a fan. “I appreciate that. But don’t talk to me!” West said. “I don’t want to hear paparazzi talk to me. Or anybody I know. At all. And don’t talk to anyone I know. And tell everybody never talk to anyone. That anyone knows ... Don’t talk ever again!”
