It appears that the rumored collaboration album between Kanye West and Drake is actually happening. After teasing the project during a recent concert, Kanye has now confirmed the album.

Speaking with Vogue, Kanye was asked about the album. “We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” he said, declining to share a release date. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.” While details are still scarce, there are a few things we know.

1. The Album Was Announced In August

During an August stop in Chicago on Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour, Kanye teased the crowd by asking them if they were ready for a joint album. “Toronto, I got one question for you. Is y’all ready for this album? I’m not talking about ‘Pablo.’ I wasn’t talking about ‘Views.’ I wanna ask y’all right now, are y’all ready for this album?”

2. The Two Have Discussed An Album Before

According to Yeezy, his song “Wolves” was inspired by conversations he had with Drake about doing an album together. “The ‘Wolves’ song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, when we was gonna do an album together, and the album was called Wolves,” he said.

3. Drake Has Also Spoke About Doing An Album Before

In April, Drake told Zane Lowe that he and Kanye were supposed to record a mixtape together. “Maybe we’ll get that done,” he said at the time.

4. “Calabasas Is The New Abu Dhabi”

On Aug. 28, a billboard reading “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi” popped up in Los Angeles. While Drake and Kanye both own homes in Calabasas, California, it was the logos under the text that sent fans into a frenzy. Under the words Abu Dhabi were the logos for Drake and Kanye’s record labels, OVO Music and GOOD Music.
