Kanye West and Jay Z may not be on the best terms these days, and it may stem from Mr. Carter skipping West’s wedding. The 44-year-old hip hop superstar was expected to be the best man, but he and Beyoncé ended up spending the weekend in the Hamptons while West married Kim Kardashian in Florence, Italy.

Now, West has been omitting Jay Z’s name from his rap songs. Over the weekend, the 37-year-old rapper hit the stage and performed at the X Games Austin Music Festival. In two songs, “Blood on the Leaves” and “Cold,” West intentionally did not say Jay Z’s name. Also, in “Blood on the Leaves,” he changed the lyrics from “you need to stop actin’ lazy” to “you need to stop actin’ crazy”. The full lyrics were, “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to ___ // He ain’t with you, he with Beyoncé, you need to stop actin’ crazy.”

Fans were quick to notice the omission, and wondered if the artists, who worked together on the 2011 album “Watch the Throne,” are at odds.

According to earlier reports, West asked Jay Z to be his best man for his May 24 wedding, but Jay Z would only do so if he, Beyoncé and their daughter, Blue Ivy, were not caught on camera. “Jay agreed initially but had one condition — under no circumstances can there be any reality TV shows filming him, his wife, Beyoncé, or daughter Blue Ivy during the ceremony,” a source told DailyStar. “She [Beyoncé] purposefully keeps herself away from trashy TV and isn’t prepared to lower her standards for anyone, or any occasion.”

But even though the wedding was not filmed for Kardashian’s reality show, Jay Z was still a no-show.
