Kanye West threw Kim Kardashian West a surprise birthday of epic proportions to celebrate her turning 35 Wednesday. Naturally the party had a theme, and in true KimYe fashion, it was unlike any other.

According to People magazine, Kanye, 38, gathered Kim’s family and close friends at Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Westlake Village, California. He rented out the entire theater to screen “Steve Jobs” for attendees. Guests arrived at the unusual venue rocking their best Kim-like looks and were given fake baby bumps to wear throughout the birthday bash. Children, including Kim and Kanye’s daughter North West, were not invited to the party. The publication reports that each of Kim’s gifts was wrapped in black and white paper and Kanye had tables decorated with balloons and flowers set up in the theater’s lobby.

Kim took to Instagram after the celebration to share details about her husband’s grand gesture. She uploaded a photo of her cake resting atop a pedestal of white roses and set up in front of a wall of roses. The photo bore a striking similarity to that of one she shared with viewers from Mother's Day 2014, at which Kanye arranged yet another white rose wall. She revealed to her 49.7 million followers that her birthday went off without a hitch, giving “Steve Jobs” rave reviews. Kim said her special day was “just what I needed,” adding that she was “comfortable” and spent the day chowing down on churros.

Kourtney Kardashian also shared a photo from the event, showing off her fake pregnant belly. In the Instagram caption she joked that she “wasn’t expecting to look this way again” so soon. The photo showed makeup artist Joyce Bonelli, Kris Jenner, Kourtney, 36, and Kylie Jenner flashing the camera their best Kim-inspired looks. Kylie, 18, who arrived at the party wearing leggings and a crop top, opted to use her fake belly to recreate her big sister's most famous asset.

This isn’t the first time the couple has thrown an epic party. For Kanye’s most recent birthday Kim surprised him by renting out the Staples Center and arranging for his close friends to play a game. She also had custom jerseys made for the two different teams, reading West and East.
