December is here and for fans of the Kardashian-Jenner family, that means the release of the reality TV stars' annual Christmas card. Just hours before the premiere of their “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” holiday special, E!’s first family released the highly anticipated holiday image exclusively to E! News on Sunday.

In the photo obtained by the reality family’s home network, the females of the Kardashian-Jenner clan take center stage in the Christmas card. In a large departure from previous years, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian-Odom, Kourtney Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner all sport revealing long black dresses and pose among tabloids and bright Hollywood lights in what appears to be an Egyptian-themed photo shoot.

Some notable “Keeping Up With the Kardashian” stars are absent from the picture, including Jenner’s only son, Rob Kardashian, Scott Disick (longtime love of Kourtney Kardashian), Lamar Odom (Khloe Kardashian-Odom’s husband) and Kanye West (Kim Kardashian’s fiance), although Jenner’s estranged husband, former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner, does make a cameo in the picture. On the far right, Jenner, 64, appears almost unrecognizable, sporting long tresses and posing trapped in a glass, circular dome.

Despite cameos from Kourtney Kardashian’s children, Mason, 3, and Penelope, 1, the newest Kardashian family addition, five-month-old North West, does not appear in the Christmas card.

According to a report from E! News, the yearly photo was shot by photographer David LaChapelle. While Kim Kardashian, 33, called the shoot with LaChapelle “amazing” and “so much fun,” many fans of the reality TV family are less than happy with the final results.

“I don't see one thing relating to Christmas. Who's hairbrained idea was this,” viewer Marilyn Sites Geiser commented Sunday. “This looks like a party invitation. Very disappointing … I totally don't like this as a Christmas Card. They have so much to thank God for, I think they should have done this differently,” she said. While some viewers complemented the unique theme, others claim the pyramid image in the background is another piece of evidence that the family is attached to the Illuminati, a rumored secrety society that allegedly controls the planet through manipulation. “This card has Illuminati written all over it!” said viewer Shania Nowlin Sunday.

Last year the Kardashian family came under fire for their annual Christmas card after reports surfaced that members of the family were Photoshopped into the iconic image. During an interview with "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Khloe Kardashian-Odom revealed that due to illness and busy schedules, members of her family, including herself, were later added into the holiday card. The 29-year-old reality TV starlet said that a similar treatment was also given to her husband of three years, NBA player Lamar Odom; her half-sister, model Kendall Jenner, 18; and Disick, 30.

“We pretend that we're always together,” said Kardashian-Odom. “[It is all] the powers of cameras and Photoshop,” she said.=
