Karrueche Tran Copying Rihanna? Fans React After Chris Brown’s Girlfriend Dyes Hair Red [PHOTO]

In 2010, Rihanna turned heads when she dyed her hair bright red, after having styles that were platinum blond, black, and brown. She kept the exotic look until 2011, before dying her hair auburn again. Now, her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s on-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, has dyed her hair red. Is she trying to copy the singer’s look?

On Sept. 11, Tran posted a photograph of the new look on Instagram, along with the caption, “Trying something new.”

While not as bright and vibrant as Rihanna’s red tresses, as Tran’s has black undertones, the look is certainly similar to the one formerly sported by the Barbadian beauty. Some Rihanna fans made sure to comment on the similar look, with one Instagram user posting, “#obsessed. Rih needs to take a restraining order out on you [sic]!” Another said, “You try too hard sweetie ... Yea Robyn [Rihanna] is in a whole different level. She’s on level 1,000 while you’re still in level 3 ... Unfortunately you’ll always be watched & compared ... ” And yet another wrote, presumably in a sarcastic vein, “Wow ... Rihanna red ... How cute.”

Meanwhile, Tran and Brown are back together in their on-and-off relationship. At the beginning of August, Brown said he was no longer dating the Vietnamese singer and model, who he had seen for two years after breaking up with Rihanna in 2009. They then rekindled their relationship this year, after Brown reunited with Rihanna before splitting up with her again.

“[Fans have] seen me on and off again with different girls -- you know who they are -- but right now, as a 24-year-old man, I just choose to be single! I’m still good friends with them. [Now] it’s just me being focused with my music and doing this stuff. Right now, I’m in my prime,” Brown told Hollywood Life at a charity event for his Symphonic Love Foundation.

But it appears Brown and Tran are giving their relationship another chance, as last month, Brown, who was in Hawaii for concert performances, brought Tran along with him.
