Kate Gosselin took a moment away from her brood of eight Tuesday to reflect on her family’s best and worst moments over the past 10 years of her TLC reality series, “Kate Plus 8” (originally titled “Jon and Kate Plus 8”). In the episode “Kate’s Most Memorable Moments,” the 39-year-old mom and TV personality spoke about her children, her dating life and even her drama-filled divorce from husband and former co-star Jon Gosselin.

Most of the episode – which served as the finale for the Gosselins' 2015 special on TLC – was dedicated to Kate answering viewer-submitted questions. Not surprisingly, at least two segments focused on her life after divorcing Jon.

“That 2008-2009 time frame, there was just nothing stable,” Kate said of her 2009 split from Jon, now 37, which was documented on the series. Kate revealed that their marriage was especially strained during their move into their Wernersville, Pennsylvania, home. “We were in a new house. It was a lot of good, busy -- and yet, kind of the cracks in the wall in terms of our marriage were finally, you know, cracking all the way through and crumbling,” she said.

It's now five years since the marriage dissolved, and Kate says her children -- 14-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 10-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Leah, Alexis, Hannah and Joel -- have settled back into a normal life. “The kids and I grew closer in all of that. The kids and I have healed to the best of our ability,” Kate shared.

According to the “Kate Plus 8” star, her children's experiences throughout her breakup from Jon provided them with many valuable lessons. “It opened up a lot of avenues of conversation. They learned a lot about people’s intentions. They learned a lot about trust,” Kate revealed. “They’re, I want to think, somehow better people. Everything in life is a lesson. I’ve said a million times: It’s not about what happens to you, it’s how you respond to it.”

With almost half a decade of the single life under her belt, viewers also asked Kate about her dating plans. While Kate revealed she would “absolutely” love to renter the dating scene, she did not address rumors she is linked to Jeff Prescott, a 51-year-old millionaire businessman and divorced father of three.

“I mean, I would if I had time. That's the truth,” Kate said on the topic of dating. "I am so busy with my kids. If you’re not in my kitchen or in the grocery store, I’m not going to meet you.” Kate added, “If the right person presents themselves, absolutely.”

Kate spoke out about rumors regarding her romance with Prescott -- which is said to have sparked in New York City last fall – in January. “I get it. Everyone wants me to be dating. I hear it loud and clear,” Kate told People Magazine. "It just doesn’t happen that easily, but I want it just as much as everyone else does."
