Kate and Oliver Hudson are “not surprised” that their biological father, Bill Hudson, said that he rejected his oldest children. Goldie Hawn’s kids weren’t even fazed by his comments, a source told Us Weekly in an exclusive report Monday.

"They weren't surprised at all that Bill spoke out," the insider said. "He's always trying to clear his name and his image." But it didn’t hurt their feelings. Kate, 36, and Oliver, 38, have had "zero relationship" with him for years. "They don't see him or talk to him unless it's by accident," the source said about Kate and Oliver.

The feud all started when Oliver posted “Happy Abandonment Day” on Father’s Day. Bill then decided his relationship with his two children was caput. "That was like a dagger to the heart. If what he wanted was me out of their lives, then he’s succeeded. I don’t want to see either of my eldest children ever again. It’s over," he told the U.K.'s Daily Mail Saturday in an exclusive interview. "Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth."

Instead of feeding into the negativity, Kate honored stepfather Kurt Russell in a touching tribute. She affectionately called him “Pa.”

"Pa, just simply...Thank you," She captioned a smiling, black-and-white photo of her and Russell, whom she has called "Pa" for more than 30 years. "Happy Fathers Day I love you to the moon and back."

It’s not the first time she paid tribute to Russell on social media. She did the same thing when he turned 64 in March. "Happy Birthday to the most dependable, strong, authentic, loving and fun Dad! I love you!" she wrote, according to People magazine. "This is a man who made his family his number one priority his whole life. Never missed a school play, a soccer game, a hockey game, a dance recital and the list goes on and on."

So why do the kids and Bill have such a strained relationship? The musician blames his ex-wife, Hawn. "When we split up, [Goldie] never had a bad word to say about me," Bill told the Daily Mail. "But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed and I became the big, bad wolf."
