Kate Middleton recently wore another piece from Queen Elizabeth II's jewelry collection.

On Monday, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Prince William, Middleton and Prince Harry were also present during the grand event. For the celebration, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a special accessory from Queen Elizabeth's jewelry vault, a diamond and pearl choker, People reported.

The piece is a four-strand pearl choker with a central diamond. It has been worn by Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton's mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The queen wore the choker during the 1980s and 90's. It was commissioned using a collection of cultured pearls given to her by the Japanese government. Meanwhile, Prince William and Prince Harry's mom once borrowed the piece for a state banquet for the Netherlands in 1982. Middleton is the most recent royal to wear the necklace.

Middleton paired the choker with a pair of Collingwood pearl and diamond earrings, which were a wedding present to the late Princess of Wales. Middleton was also spotted wearing the same earrings during the state banquet when the Spanish royals visited them.

This is not the first time that Queen Elizabeth has lent Middleton a piece from her collection. On Nov. 7, the Duchess of Cambridge borrowed the monarch diamond Quatrefoil bracelet for the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF) gala. The accessory originally belonged to the queen mother and was passed on to Queen Elizabeth after her death in 2002.

Queen Elizabeth was spotted wearing the diamond bracelet in 1958. She wore it over her signature white gloves at the State Opening of Parliament in 2010.

In related news, Queen Elizabeth reportedly also gave Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, the privilege of choosing one of her tiaras for their wedding. This is apparently the monarch's engagement gift to the actress, who will may be getting married to Prince Harry in the summer.

Among Markle's options are the Strathmore Rose tiara, Queen Mary's fringe tiara and the lotus flower tiara. According to Geoffrey C. Munn, the lotus flower tiara is "one of the prettiest of Queen Elizabeth's tiaras … arranged as a band of stylized lotus flowers and overreaching arches, with the graduated pinnacles surmounted by a single pearl." Middleton was seen wearing the headdress in 2013.
