Even Kate Middleton needs a little break from the summer heat once in a while. The very pregnant Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, left London’s Kensington Palace Friday, to join her parents at their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, Us Weekly reported.

“She decided to spend the weekend with Mum and Dad. Much more comfortable,” a source told Us Weekly. The relocation makes sense seeing that Saturday was England’s hottest day this year -- the air temperature peaked at 89.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The source added that the royal opted out of staying at the couple’s nonair-conditioned cottage in Nottingham because it “was just too warm.”

After husband Prince William’s charity polo match Sunday, he “will drive to Bucklebury and stay the night at the Middletons’ house with Kate,” the source said.

Meanwhile, anticipation continues to grow about the birth of the royal baby, especially now that Middleton is reportedly past due by some accounts. July 13 (Saturday) was her rumored due date, according to Hollywood Life.

When the British royal couple’s little bundle of joy does arrive -- and E News has reported they do not know the baby’s sex -- the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London supposedly will be the newborn’s first introduction to the royal lifestyle.

This is the same hospital where Princess Diana gave birth to both Prince William and his brother Prince Harry.
