Unless drinking alcohol during a pregnancy has suddenly become safe, it is quite clear that Kate Middleton is not pregnant. For weeks, there has been speculation that the Duchess of Cambridge is with child, just 10 months after giving birth to Prince George.

First, she was expecting twins, then earlier this week, Life & Style reported the 32-year-old duchess was just having one child with husband Prince William, 31. But on Thursday, Middleton subtly laid the rumors to rest by taking a shot of whiskey. She and her husband were touring Scotland's Glenturret distillery, known for its Famous Grouse whiskey, and the prince was challenged to try a "wee dram" of 68.9 proof alcohol, straight from the still. "I'll give anything a go, [but] I will probably regret it later," he said.

"I'm definitely going for that one," William added. Middleton also took a shot of whiskey while they were there.

Life & Style had claimed Middleton was “98 pounds and pregnant,” and staying out of the public eye due to medical issues related to her alleged pregnancy. “She is so tired at the end of the day, she collapses on her bed,” an unidentified “royal source” told the magazine. “She is way beyond exhausted. It’s a particularly worrying time for William. He is very concerned.”

But she dispelled the rumors with a healthy appearance at the distillery. "You do like a peaty whiskey, don't you?" she asked the prince during the tour. Middleton watched as husband tasted The Black Grouse Alpha. The duchess was then persuaded to try the "girlie" whiskeys: two weaker blends called The Snow Grouse and The Naked Grouse, both around 40 percent proof.

"Nice," she said. "I like them."
