Prince William and Kate Middleton is one of the most popular couples in London, but their popularity has never made them high-maintenance.

In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoy eating dinner at home together and with their two kids, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. During a recent cooking event, Prince William revealed that his favorite food to cook is roasted chicken and steak.

“A roast. So a bit of roast chicken or steak. I like it medium-rare. I like it quite alive,” he said.

Unfortunately, Prince William’s wife cannot eat medium-rare steaks at the moment due to her pregnancy with their third child. According to OK! magazine Middleton’s doctors advised her to not eat raw meat. But the doting wife has also been preparing roasted chicken and steak for her husband even though she could not eat the latter.

Last year, E! News reported that Middleton was spotted carrying a grocery bag that contained chicken. In 2012, a source told Vanity Fair that Middleton and Prince William’s idea of a perfect date night is staying at home and cooking in their kitchen.

“Some might say it’s a little dull, but they love it. I saw William recently and he is so happy. They’ve grown out of clubbing and have no interest in parties. They just enjoy being together at home,” the source said.

Another friend noted, “Kate was on the King’s Road not so long ago carrying a shopping bag with chicken in it that she was taking home to cook for William’s supper. That’s their idea of the perfect night.”

Meanwhile, Middleton and Prince William are forced to always head out for official functions or meet people at the Kensington Palace. This week, they had the chance to meet Roger Federer, his wife, Mirka Federer, and their children. The Swiss professional player was also seen carrying two small gifts, presumably for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Hello magazine noted that the Federers were at the palace for approximately two hours.
