Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is now Royalty and she's also Britain's latest fashionista. What comes next for her is yet to be seen, but meanwhile the media is going Kate-crazy over the commoner-turned-Royal Duchess.

There was already a Lifetime movie made about the famous Royal couple, titled 'William & Kate,' aired on April 18, which will air again on Sunday July 31 at 5 PM.

The film didn't receive rave reviews; however, post wedding, the made for television film might get a different reaction. Girls across the country may tune in just to get a glimpse of Kate's Royal life, even if fictional, and even if the film is subpar.

The U.K. Guardian's Stephen Bates said of it, [It's] so bad it's awful, toe-curlingly, teeth-furringly, pillow-bitingly ghastly.

There are movies so bad that they transcend awfulness. Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space and Glen or Glenda? perhaps, or Troll 2. And then there is William and Kate: The Movie, he said.

In order to satiate the world's obsession with Kate, we're willing to bet that in some room in Hollywood there are a group of people debating when to release a film based on the Royal couple. And we wonder 'who would play Kate Middleton?

Our first pick would be Katie Holmes. She is the new face of Ann Taylor, MaxMara called her the Face of the Future, and Women in Film recognized Holmes as a leader in her field. Perhaps an actress of her caliber, with the style, poise, and grace that she exudes, would be the perfect fit to play Kate Middleton.

Holmes also had a dream wedding of her own to actor Tom Cruise and has said publicly that as a teen, she had a crush on Cruise. She stated, I think every little girl dreams about her wedding. I used to think I was going to marry Tom [Cruise].

Also, Holmes and Middleton both share the same name; only Holmes is spelled with a K, as in Katherine with a K.

Aside from Holmes, we chose a few other actresses that we feel could play the part of Kate Middleton, including Leighton Meester, and French actress Marion Cotillard. We also feel Kate Beckinsale or Kiera Knightley would make good choices for Kate's sister, Pippa.

Tell us who you think would be the right fit to portray the Middleton's in the comments below.
