Add Kate Middleton, the new Duchess of Cambridge, to the growing list of possible hacking victims of Jonathan Rees.

Private investigator Rees is accused of targeting celebrities, politicians and royals on behalf of Rupert Murdoch's News International.

According to The Guardian, Rees hacked into the Duchess' phone while she was still Prince William's girlfriend. It is also believed that he accessed Middleton's back account, as well as those of several senior royals.

But the royal newlywed is not alone.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Mick Jagger, George Michael, Peter Sutcliffe and Eric Clapton have also been suspected targets. Recently, several hacking cases have been confirmed, specifically those involving Sienna Miller - who reportedly received an apology and $150,000 settlement - and Kelly Hoppen.

Rees, who worked for Mirror Group, as well as the News of the World, is also accused of using a specialist computer hacker in July 2006 to steal information about MI6 agents who had infiltrated the Provisional IRA.

London police have been investigating the incidents since January.
