Balenciaga has bagged one of the biggest campaign coups of the season. The French fashion house’s fall ads will feature two major models: Kate Moss and Lara Stone. The two were shot together for the first time — both clad in looks from Balenciaga's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, in a rather sensual position, according to WWD.

This is the first time that the two supermodels have been photographed together for a major campaign. Their association dates back -- Moss styled Stone for her first shoot as contributing fashion editor for British Vogue’s September 2014 issue. The Dutch-born Stone has shared a ‘W’ magazine cover with Moss, 41.

The models are also close friends in real life. Moss has been friends with Stone’s comedian husband David Walliams for many years. Shot by famous fashion photographer Steve Klein, a handbag-toting Stone leans over the British model who in turn has her arm draped across Stone’s shoulder. The two are pictured wearing matching fabrics from the label’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection.

The image appears to be less about talk than body language. The art direction was done by Pascal Dangin of KiDS Creative. Panos Yiapanis styled the shoot, while Anthony Turner did hair and Val Garland handled makeup. The campaign will appear in international publications in July.

“For me, the fall collection began with the real women of Balenciaga — women who are multifaceted and multidimensional: strong and sensual yet also austere and mysterious. I wanted the first image for the campaign to frame Kate and Lara in a mysterious conversation,” said Alexander Wang, Balenciaga’s creative director.

Stone shared the image of the campaign on her Instagram Monday. The Dutch model captioned the picture: “Me and Kate for Balenciaga.” She also gave a shout to the entire team who made the campaign possible.
