“Kate Plus 8”, a reality TV show which began as “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” will be axed by producer TLC at the conclusion of its current season.

"Jon & Kate Plus 8" is the life show of Gosselin family, including Jon, Kate and their eight kids, focusing on the challenges of raising multiple kids in their daily life. The show had been one of the highest rated programs on TLC during its run. After Jon and Kate were divorced in 2009, the name of the program had changed to “Kate Plus 8”.

However, the ratings of the show fell down to around or below 1 million viewers recently, prompting TLC to scrap the program. TLC issued a statement Monday afternoon, saying that the show won't come back next season. The show's final episode will air on Sept. 12.
