TLC on Tuesday announced the show previously called Jon and Kate plus eight will from November carry the name Kate plus eight.

Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family, TLC president Eileen O'Neill said in a statement. The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate's journey really resonates with our viewers.

The new show will focus on Kate's life and how she begins the new phase in her life as a single mother.

Kate's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, will still be featured on the show as an executive and recurring appearance capacity, but he will no longer be a focal point.

The network is also in development on a project with Kate for 2010.
