The characters on “American Horror Story: Coven” have dressed to impress throughout the season, prompting the meme “On Wednesdays we wear black.” But during episode 7 on Wednesday, Kathy Bates’ character Madame Delphine LaLaurie was wearing something that most “American Horror Story” viewers can get their hands on … Forever 21!

Bates’ Delphine was wearing Forever 21’s “Studded Tiger Raglan Sweatshirt” and can be seen rocking it in the final few minutes of “The Dead.” Throughout the season, Delphine has been dressed in a maid’s outfit or one of her old dresses from the 1800s. But she donned the sweatshirt (possibly borrowed from Queenie) to take a trip to get her hair done. But what Delphine failed to realize was that Queenie had tricked her … and instead of taking her to get her hair done, was handing Delphine over to her archnemesis, Marie Laveau.

For those who don’t know, Delphine LaLaurie was a real life killer who murdered and mutilated her African American servants in the 1800s. When a fire broke out at her home on April 10, 1834, the public discovered numerous servants locked in a room – all of them “horribly mutilated.”

Some of Delphine’s gruesome acts have been re-enacted on “American Horror Story,” but with a twist. To tie in New Orleans’ real life Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, the FX mini-series tweaked the tale of Delphine so that she was cursed by Laveau as an act of revenge. The Voodoo Queen made Delphine immortal and buried her alive so that she’d be haunted by her actions for eternity.

As “American Horror Story” viewers know, Fiona dug up Delphine and has had her working as a maid at Miss Robichaux’s school. Delphine eventually struck up a friendship with Queenie (despite the occasional racist remark). But that all changed in episode 7, "The Dead," after Queenie spoke with Marie Laveau and learned of Delphine’s horrible crimes. Queenie ultimately decided to hand her friend back over to the Voodoo Queen … which is where “Coven” fans last saw Bates’ character in her Forever 21 shirt.

While Bates rocks a bedazzled olive green sweatshirt for $22.80, her co-star Emma Roberts gets to don something a little more … expensive. On Nov. 5 the 22-year-old actress instagramed her character Madison’s shoes – studded Prada heels. The heels were originally priced at $1,100, but are currently 60 percent off at BarneysWarehouse.com and can be purchased for $439. (Unfortunately the only size that remains is a 5 US.) You can find the Forever 21 shirt that Kathy Bates’s Madame LaLaurie is wearing HERE.
