Katie Holmes has recently been introduced as the new face of the makeup brand Bobbi Brown.

The actress is Bobbi Brown’s first celebrity spokesperson.

In the ad, Holmes wears a smoky-eyes look accented by wind-machine-swept wavy hair, a beaded statement necklace and a strapless dress, likely from her fashion label, Holmes & Yang, according to the Daily Mail.

Holmes can also be seen on the Bobbi Brown website, on a "Meet Our Newest Face" page that teaches makeup enthusiasts how to achieve her look.

In addition, it was announced in September that Holmes would be a “muse and collaborator” for the brand and would co-design a capsule cosmetics line that will debut for the fall 2013 season collection.

Holmes spoke to WWD about the collaboration in September.

“This is my first foray into beauty products and the evolution of a look,” she told WWD.

“You want the hair and makeup to support the woman, just like you want the clothes to support the woman. You don’t want to lose the woman. That’s how Jeanne [Yang] and I design.”

The brand’s founder and namesake, Bobbi Brown, told the Los Angeles Times that it was Holmes’ versatility that made her the perfect spokeswoman.

“I didn't choose her because she's a celebrity, I really didn't,” Brown told the L.A. Times.

“She's not 20; she has a lot on her plate from acting to design. She was interested in how I balance work and being a mother. I think she's a great role model and that women will relate to her.”

According to the Daily Mail, Holmes will showcase her line for the second time at New York Fashion Week in February.
