Katy Perry's newly released album "Prism" may contain songs all about her ex-husband, comedian Russell Brand, but the 28-year-old singer has moved on and is allegedly already planning another walk down the aisle.

According to a print report from Life & Style, the famous couple is preparing to marry, with a source telling the magazine that Mayer, 35, is planning to propose to the "Roar" singer during the upcoming Christmas holidays. "John wants to do something special probably around the holidays," a friend close to the couple said.

While plans for a wedding are in motion, Mayer is reportedly struggling with the upcoming engagement and is asking Perry's frends for advice regarding everything from the proposal location to a potential ring design. "He's been asking Katy's friends a ton of question," said the source. "There are a lot of options on the table. Nothing is ruled out. It could happen on a romantic getaway or during a family dinner."

The couple, who has been dating on and off since August 2012, were most recently spotted attending the Friars Foundation Awards Gala in New York City together in June. A fellow guest revealed to E! News that the singing twosome were affectionate with one another, saying, "They were smooching and rubbing one another's backs."

Perry, who divorced Brand, a 38-year-old British comedian in 2011, previously gushed about Mayer during an interview with Vogue last month. “I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him," she said. "All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind."
