The best remedy for heartbreak is joining the U.S. Marine Corps -- at least, that's what Katy Perry does in her new music video for her latest single, Part of Me.

In the video, Perry breaks up with her cheating boyfriend, drives off in a Volvo, chops off her hair and turns in her cellphone and civilian clothes in exchange for the familiar green and black.

Released Wednesday night, the music video has already been viewed by more than 800,000 people on YouTube. Nothing out of the ordinary for Perry, considering her previous six music videos from Teenage Dream have received a combined total of more than 750 million views.

Thank u to everyone for the love & support on the video, I have SO MUCH respect for anyone serving any role in the service after this shoot! Perry wrote on Twitter after posting a link to the video.

There's no sign of ex Russell Brand in the music video for Part of Me, despite much speculation from fans and gossipmongers. Perry, 27, first debuted the single at last month's Grammy Awards -- two months after Brand filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce will become official on July 14, as California law requires waiting at least six months after filing.

Filmed at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Calif., Part of Me had Perry doing a lot of her own stunts.

I flipped girls, I learned how to fireman-carry . . . I know how to carry my weight a little bit more, she recently told MTV News.

One thing I can't do, and I hope that there are other people out there that feel the same way, is climb a rope . . . oh my gosh, it's so hard to climb rope! It's all about grip and arms. I tried five or six times on set, but I had to cheat that shot. My hands were shaking, she added.

Part of Me is the latest single off Teenage Dream, which will be re-released as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection on March 26.
