Katy Perry wants no drama with fellow artist Miley Cyrus, even after Cyrus dissed her ex-boyfriend John Mayer. On Thursday, Cyrus had a few choice words for Perry, 29, after the pop singer opened up about a kiss she shared with Cyrus during her Bangerz tour.

Perry pulled away from the 21-year-old after a few seconds, and revealed why earlier this week on the Australian show "Sunrise."

“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do, and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away,” Perry explained. "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!”

Cyrus responded on Thursday, tweeting out, “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT (?) been [sic].” Cyrus is referring to John Mayer, who Perry recently broke up with. Mayer previously dated a slew of female celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift. After a number of breakups and makeups, Perry and Mayer were thought to be on the road to engagement.

Last month, Perry even flaunted a ring on her engagement finger. Perry, 29, began dating Mayer, 36, during the summer of 2012. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be and this is the third time Perry and Mayer have called their relationship quits.

Perry took Cyrus’ retort in stride though, responding on Twitter Thursday, “@MileyCyrus Oooo gurrrl I'm gonna give you the BIGGEST spanking when I see you in the UK bb [sic]!”
