Katy Perry: The Smurfette's New Hair in Latest Photo Shoot [PHOTOS]

On Monday, the stars of "The Smurfs in 3D" gathered for the exclusive premiere in New York. Katy Perry definitely stole the spotlight on the blue carpet when she stepped out in her sparkly, white, smurf-themed mini dress. She also worked her new blond locks.The trendy and daring singer is known for her wild style. Many were surprised at this drastic makeover considering she only recently changed her hair from black to ginger. A week before the initial change, she tweeted: "tonight I dye my hair a different color... Can you guess which color?!" Later, she added: "So I didn't get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long...2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS." The star's natural hair color is actually blond...so I think it works. It was definitely worth waiting 3 weeks!

Also on the blue carpet in NYC were co-stars: Neil Patrick Harris, Sofia Vergara, George Lopez, Hank Azaria, Jayma Mays, and Tim Gunn."The Smurfs in 3D" can be seen in theatres on July 29.
