Kazakhstan's consumer prices climbed 8.9% year-on-year in March, faster than an 8.7% rise in the previous month, the country's statistical office said Wednesday.

On an annual basis, price of food increased 8.3%, while price of non-food products rose 7.1%. Price of paid services was up 11.6%.

Month-on-month, consumer prices increased 0.8% in March, marking the same pace as in the previous month.
